Who each tier is for
The 60GB tier suits light use: daily research, email and the occasional video usually leave part of the 60GB unused by the end of the month. Its point is keeping the monthly cost as low as possible, so you can spend one month confirming the routes are stable in your city before deciding whether to add capacity.
The 250GB tier is where most people start: phone and computer online at once, AI tools and web browsing by day, streaming in the evening, and 250GB covers most single-user scenarios over a month. It is the best balance of capacity and price among the three, and the tier most people settle on when they renew.
The 500GB tier targets multiple devices and high bitrates: a household sharing one subscription, long high-bitrate playback, or always-on sync and downloads. The higher the resolution and the longer you stay online, the faster data goes, and this tier leaves the most headroom.
Nothing else differs between the tiers
Route coverage, clients, device count and refund terms are identical across all three; only the monthly data allowance changes. 90+ countries / 160+ routes, three route types (IEPL dedicated, relay and direct), and clients for Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux are available on every tier, and the route list is the same one.
All three tiers allow unlimited device logins: one subscription works across multiple devices, so phones, computers and tablets never need separate purchases. To see specific routes and cities, browse the global nodes page by region.
Upgrades, renewals and data resets
Monthly plan data resets every month on your activation date, not on the 1st of the calendar month. Activate on 8/12, for example, and it resets on the 12th of each month after that, so every billing cycle gives you a full allowance.
To move from 60GB up to 250GB or 500GB mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated by the remaining days and takes effect immediately once paid, with no need to wait for the next reset date. The site currently offers monthly billing only, with no quarterly, half-yearly or yearly tiers, so there are no multi-month discounts; if you need a longer period, simply renew month by month.
